I thought ACF should only mean Assault Craft Force. I became so intimate with the acronym during my stint as Flag Lieutenant to the Flag Officer In Command, a position I attributed to God's grace and prerogative. It is a very powerful craft that can conquer any types of angry seas.

My Admiral would frequently doze during our sea trips from Roxas Blvd to Cavite and to where else at sea. Well, the Admiral remarked that he only dozed in very confident situations in life. He, I usually caught, dozing in Senate hearings, well aside from these boring Senators and sensationalized allegations as the reasons. He really had the expressed security with ACF.

To my idealism therefore, ACF already encapsulate in me a generic sense of being powerful, strong, useful, etc. It is like colgate for toothpaste, coke for softdrinks and SM for supermarket. ACF is power to me; strength formidability, nobility, loftiness, idealism, grandeur, etc. I imagined the times ACF glides with the angry waves. Such impression is not isolated with ACF.

I remember Rear Admiral Erolin (I last heard of him Commodore so I assume his rank now). He would almost shout the FORCE or the F when mentioningACF similar when cadets sung the line ... our Country FREE, of the Alma Mater song, where they sing like a yell the word FREE. (The yelling was stopped during the time of Gen. Estrellado. Cadets who sung FREE in a yell are slugged).

There is something in ACF that got me into the same emotion and passion. So there is this deep meaning that I resemble my expectations of the Academy Cavaliers Forum. ACF should no longer anymore only mean Assault Craft Force to be consistent with the same charisma of the acronym. I even see this Forum identical to an assault craft force. A craft to assault and a craft of force.

While PMA's credibility is silently questioned on the RSBS, PVAO andother scandals involving PMA graduates, a craft that shall ferry all academic and dynamic discussions as this Forum is needed to affirm, reaffirm and strengthen the virtues of PMA and rectify the errors of conceptions. In this way growth is assured. Change is directed to a healthful goal of genuine transformation and rejuvination.

I should include the passivity of PMA'ers during Martial Rule, the violence abetted against the civilian populace and the antagonistic and repugnant sides of fellow Cavaliers as in the case of Lacson and Berroya. ACF has to increase in number to broaden the discussions and encourage those in positions to take note of the developments arrive in this Forum.

With ACF, I also feel secured, assured and proud, no less than how myAdmiral felt and Rear Admiral Erolin was impressed of it. May God bless the trip of ACF into the revolution of communication. Fair winds, blue skies, and following seas to all of us as we venture with all our ideasinto this Forum. God bless ACF!
